Carol has been instrumental in my girlfriend's postpartum journey for our first child. I was glad that we had her for our first child and birth! The love and care she has showered on my family while supporting us at every turn has been incredible and something I did not realize I was missing until she was here. I am so grateful for the care she has given my baby and the constant tending of our needs as we grow into our little family of three!
Carol was absolutely amazing as my Birthing and Postpartum Doula. She supported me and guided me through the whole process of pre-delivery all the way up to delivery. We also utilized Carol in postpartum as well. Carol is one of the most nurturing, capable, caring individuals my family and I have encountered. Her presence at our home was a great comfort to me. Any family would be so lucky to have her unmatched help.

No, Doulas and midwives perform completely separate jobs. A midwife is a trained medical professional who is able to deliver babies and perform a variety of procedures. Doulas offer physical and emotional support, but do not perform any medical tasks or interfere with them. Midwives and doulas work together.
Doulas support all kinds of births. While many clients are hoping to have unmedicated or even home births, everyone can benefit from a doula. Remember that doulas do much more than pain relief during birth- education about the process, postpartum help and support, and other roles are also a part of the package.
Doulas are in no way meant to take on the same role as your partner. Your partner knows you, your comforts, your emotions, and what you need better than anyone and will be a huge part of your birth. Doulas come with knowledge about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum that your partner may not have and help them find the best way to apply that knowledge to you. We love to work with partners, giving them tips for comfort measures and empowering them to be a part of the journey.
A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and just after childbirth.
